Back

The Young Professionals Association of Chattanooga bestowed its inaugural Young Professionals-Friendly Employer of the Year Award upon HHM for 2007. Some of the reasons cited for honoring HHM with the award include: The financial institute was started by young professionals in 1982, and has continued to exemplify community involvement and has an outstanding reputation with the young professional circle for seeking out young talent and offering a solid foundation of career growth. Over the past two years, seven recent college graduates have been recruited for employment. Each year, HH&M hold summit panel discussions, where groups of employees provide feedback on the issues they feel affect the firm and their careers. This year, the firm has committed to implementing a more technologically based financial statement system, which will be helpful for those within the company who prepare financial statements. It will also provide a way for young mothers to work from their homes.

The firm also provides an $1600 reimbursement for passing the CPA exam, and provides many in-house continuing professional education as well as the opportunity to choose two outside courses each year.
