HHM CPAS MANAGEMENT TEAM GROWS IN CHATTANOOGA OFFICE

HHM Certified Public Accountants, a full-service CPA and consulting firm with locations in Chattanooga and Memphis, has hired five senior-level professionals in its Chattanooga office to expand services and support growth. The additions include two partners, a director, a manager, and a senior accountant.
HHM welcomes John Klisch, CPA. With over 30 years’ experience, he will be a technical partner in HHM’s accounting and assurance department. He supports the department by providing specialized financial, accounting, and auditing expertise with respect to mid-sized and growth-oriented companies in many industries with specific depth in regards to those in the tech sector as well as manufacturers and distributors, service and media organizations. For over 30 years, he has used his versatile skill set to help clients with mergers and acquisitions, regulatory requirements, complex technical issues and corporate governance best practices. On his long list of professional feats, John successfully managed BDO USA’s Atlanta assurance practice through the most recent recession.
Also joining the firm’s leadership is Stuart McCallum, ASA, who will serve as a partner in the Management Advisory Services (MAS) department. Bringing years of experience with one of the nation’s top accounting firms, Stuart will provide businesses with due diligence support, transaction closing support, and financial modeling. Prior to joining HHM, Stuart was the retail dealership advisory lead for one of the country’s largest accounting firms. Most recently, he was the Vice President of investment banking for a boutique investment bank where he provided sell-side advisory services to high value dealerships and clients in the technology industry. Stuart is passionate about sharing his knowledge and training others. He has travelled nationally to speak on automotive and management advisory service topics, and his work has been featured in numerous publications.
Terry Winstead, CPA, will be HHM’s newest director in the accounting and assurance department. Terry has two decades of experience in both private and public accounting to serve tax, audit, and consulting clients in the manufacturing, construction, governmental, and nonproﬁt industries.
In addition, Terry is heavily involved in HHM’s peer review practice, helping other CPA ﬁrms around the country improve their quality of service. Terry worked in public accounting at the start of his career, then spent time as a controller for a furniture manufacturer in Morristown, Tennessee. He returned to the public accounting arena in 2006 with a renewed focus on accounting, assurance and taxation.
Brian Miller brings 22 years of experience to HHM’s tax department. As a tax manager, Brian will review individual, corporate, partnership, nonprofit, and other tax returns. His dedication to staying up-to-date on the changing tax code is one of the ways he assists clients with managing their overall tax liability. Prior to joining HHM, Brian was a partner and Vice President at a large firm in the Washington, D.C. area where he led the employee benefit plan audit practice and prepared and reviewed tax returns.
Finally, Diane Mahoney, EA, joins HHM as a senior accountant with 18 years’ experience. She will prepare sales/use tax returns, corporate tax returns, profit and loss statements, projection and forecasting, and financial statement reconciliation for a variety of clients. Prior to joining HHM, Diane gained experience in both private and public accounting. Most recently, she was an accountant in the legal and security department at a Fortune 500 company.
