Jim Vaughn, CPA, brings more than 25 years of experience serving financial institutions and privately held businesses throughout the Southeast. As a partner at HHM CPAs, he focuses on providing audit, internal control, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory services to banks, credit unions, and other organizations providing financial services. Jim also delivers tax and consulting services to privately held companies across a variety of industries. Before joining HHM, Jim spent over two decades with a regional CPA firm, where he served as partner in charge of the Chattanooga office and led the firm’s financial institutions practice. In this role, he advised community banks and large regional institutions on audits, merger and acquisition readiness, and strategic growth initiatives. Jim attributes his success to building trusted relationships, maintaining integrity in every engagement, and helping clients adapt to change with confidence and clarity. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Georgia Southern University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Outside of work, Jim enjoys watching sports, playing golf, spending time outdoors, and exercising. An active community leader, Jim currently serves as Chairman of the Scouting America – Cherokee Area Council and is a member of the Downtown Chattanooga Rotary Club.
