HHM CPAs’ Randy Dummer to Speak at National and State Conferences This Spring

HHM CPAs is proud to highlight Partner Randy Dummer as he continues to share his expertise on a national stage this spring, serving as a featured speaker at multiple conferences focused on employee benefit plan audits, ERISA compliance, and audit quality standards.

A nationally recognized speaker in the accounting profession and a leading employee benefit plan auditor in Tennessee, Randy brings decades of experience and leadership in EBP audits, peer review, and regulatory compliance. As Review Captain for approximately 120 peer reviews annually, he plays a key role in helping CPA firms across the country strengthen the quality of their accounting, auditing, and attestation practices, particularly in the area of employee benefit plan (401(k) and retirement plan) audits. His work contributes directly to elevating professional standards across the industry.

Randy has also served for five years on the peer review committee of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants and is an approved ERISA audit specialist for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Enhanced Oversight Project. His involvement at both the state and national levels reflects his deep commitment to ERISA audit compliance, Department of Labor (DOL) requirements, and high-quality employee benefit plan audit services.

Before joining HHM CPAs, Randy spent 24 years with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, including seven years as a Partner. During that time, he led the firm’s employee benefit plan audit practice, overseeing approximately 700 engagements across eight offices. He also served as engagement partner on audits for nonprofit organizations, automotive dealerships, and a wide range of commercial and retail businesses.
