HHM CPAs Second Annual Run with Reason

Kyle Briner, a senior accountant at HHM CPAs in Chattanooga, Tenn., was the brainchild of “Run With Reason” in partnership with the Chattanooga Echelon. The three-part fundraiser supports the Chattanooga Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Local businesses, churches and community organizations will sponsor a team of runners who will log their miles in order to raise money during a run on December 7, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Redoubt Soccer Center.

“Growing up, I was fortunate,” said Briner. “That is not the case for everyone, especially the Angel Tree kids.”

Briner says simply witnessing a need in the community led him to the idea. Last year's run supported 51 Angel Tree children and raised a total $3,200. Briner hopes to double those numbers this year.

“Knowing how I grew up compared to some of the Angel Tree kids fueled me to leverage my influence and create a joyful environment for the kids and their families on Christmas,” said Briner.

HHM staff and volunteers will shop for and distribute the gifts Dec. 14 using the funds raised at the run.
