New Tax Filing Availability on TNTAP
Tennessee Taxpayer Access Point (TNTAP) is a great resource that allows Tennessee taxpayers to e-file and pay their taxes online, gain access to their tax accounts and change or update their account information.
TNTAP already allows certain taxes to be filed online such as Franchise and Excise Tax, Hall Tax, and Sales and Use Tax. Here is a complete list of taxes that can be electronically filed through TNTAP.
The Tennessee Department of Revenue announced in early May that they will be adding additional taxes that can be filed and paid online. These include:
• Alcoholic beverage taxes
• Beer taxes
• Gross receipts taxes
• Severance taxes
• Unauthorized substances
• Motor, oil, tire and solid waste management fees
This marks the third group of taxes being released on their system. Tennessee Department of Revenue plans to issue their fourth and final group of taxes on TNTAP in the spring of 2020.
Additionally, TNTAP has created four tax workshops with the general filing requirements on the following taxes: Business Tax, Franchise and Excise Tax, Liquor-by-the-Drink Tax, and Sales and Use Tax.
