NOW HIRING: TAX PARTNER / SENIOR MANAGER

Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

The Tax Partner/Senior Manager is responsible for preparing/reviewing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns; developing and supervising staff; and assisting in client management and practice development activities.

  • Successfully manage engagements, groups, and teams of all sizes.
  • Ability to identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and tax saving strategies for clients.
  • Expertise in managing tax compliance engagements.
  • Demonstrated skills in effective writing, communication, and tax research.
  • Provide industry expertise to clientele and HHM Staff.
  • Staff utilization and overall engagement supervision.
  • Professionally represent the Firm in professional and services organizations.
  • Experience with the tax aspects of business transaction issues, including shareholder transactions, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, leverage buyouts, etc.
  • Ability to represent clientele before the IRS and state tax authorities.
  • Responsible for billing and profitability of all assigned engagements.
  • Maintain steady contact with clients by development executive level relationships.
  • Deal directly with client attorneys, bankers and other advisors.
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

  • Ability to service middle-market clients, but must be flexible to work with clients of varying sizes.
  • Significant track record of mentoring and coaching accounting and tax professionals.

Additional Skills/Qualifications Required:

  • B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification with active CPA standing.
  • 10+ years of Public Accounting practice experience with large local, regional, or national firm.
  • 10+ years of engagement management experience.
  • Experience in managing engagement budgets, expenses, and performance management.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration and staff development.
  • Be of high integrity and moral character and committed to following quality control standards.
  • Proficiency in the usage of tax software such as ProSystems, CCH, RIA and/or Engagement Manager.
